anthony150Anthony Mastreani (USA) - High School Counselor

Anthony Mastreani has been working in school counseling and admissions for the past twenty one years. For six years prior to joining NCPA, he worked as admissions director and counselor at Daegu International School in Daegu Korea. He also worked as a counselor and district level coordinator of counseling services for many years in the State of Maine before moving to Korea.

Amanda Yu (USA) - High School Counselor

Amanda Yu has been on the NCPA faculty since 2013. She is currently working with students in 10th-12th grades and teaches two sections of both Junior and Senior seminars. Amanda is thrilled about the opportunity to support students as they navigate transitions related to academic development, personal/social growth, and finding success in the global workforce.

Outside of School Counseling, Amanda enjoys hobbies in music as well as both creative and literary arts. She serves as the piano accompanist for NCPA's Music Department and enjoys leading after-school activities for community service, meditation, and yoga. Her particular passions are community building and promoting students' self-understanding through holistic programs. Amanda holds a counselor certification from New York and an ISS EAL certificate.

109428 compressedAvita Jones (USA) - Middle/High School Counselor

Avita Jones has been an educator for the past fourteen years. Most recently, she was a middle school counselor in the Anne Arundel County Public School system, which is located just outside of Washington, DC. While employed there, she was nominated for Administrator of the Year 2016 for her accomplishments in school counseling. In addition to being a school counselor, Avita has also been a college advisor for the College of Computer, Mathematical, and Natural Sciences at the University of Maryland, College Park and a dance instructor/coach specializing in modern, tap, jazz, ballet, hip-hop, African and Latin dance.

Kathleen Brophy has been working with adolescents in different capacities for the past decade as a coach, mentor, and most recently, a school counselor. Before NCPA, she completed her field experience in school counseling in Virginia in K-5 and 8-12 settings. During her internship at the high school level, she was an assistant coach for the swim & dive team.

Tanya ArnoldTanya Arnold (Canada) - High School Counselor

"Tanya and her husband Fred, a school administrator, have worked in International Education for over 25 years. Tanya has taught in Germany, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Switzerland and Vietnam. She began her teaching career as a music teacher in Canada, teaching in Saskatchewan and Alberta. Tanya earned her Master of Music degree from the University of Alberta and later earned a Certificate in College counseling--changing her educational focus from music to counseling. Tanya and Fred raised two children during their time overseas and have many lively discussions about the merits of being Third Culture Kids (TCK).

Travel, family, music and culture are major loves in her life and she is thrilled to be joining the family at NCPA."
