Spring Concert Marathon  

From May 21st to 22nd, we held our Spring Concert Marathon. In this concert, we had a variety of performance groups from all grades, including choirs, orchestral bands and the Jazz band. On day one, the concert began with grade 9 choir singing two well-known songs, namely “Dona Nobis Pacem” and “Seasons”, which were led by Mr. Edwards and Mr. Caliva. Then, Mr. Bright led the grade 9 band to perform “Atlantis” and “Morning Mist”. Although grade 9 students were still at the early stages of NCPA music education, their mature and delicate performance surprised the audience. On the second day, we not only had orchestral performances from Cadet band, Concert band, Wind Ensemble and Jazz band, but also had vocal performances from Mixed choir, Concert choir and Chamber Singers. Beside high school performance, we also had Ms. Callender led the Middle School choir Garnet & Gold, performing “Pie Jesu” and “Have it All”. Finally, the concert ended by all choir members singing “Cai Hong” (rainbow) to send their best wishes to graduating students.
