Choir and Band Concert
On March 19th, young musicians from Grades 9 to 12 presented a high-level Choir Concert and Band Concert. In the Choir Concert in the afternoon, Mrs. Francis led the Mixed Choir to kick off the concert. A few distinctive groups from the Concert Choir and Chamber Singers showed acapella songs, pop music and lively performances. Led by Mr. Edwards, the Concert Choir presented various styles of performance. The wonderful performance by Chamber Singers pushed the concert to the climax again. They sang "The Ground", "Lunar Lullaby", "Nearer My God" to tell stories with classic melodies. At night, the Band Concert started with the performance by the Cadet Band led by Mr. Bright. After the soothing tone, the Concert Band played passionate music, and driven audiences’ emotions up. At the end of the concert, Wind Ensemble performed the final suite with “The Last Centaur”, “Hallelujah” and “Kirkpatrick’s Muse”. This is the great evidence of our students’ learning and music teachers’ teaching through this school year’s Performing Arts work.
