GUIS Xinghai Concert
On April 19, students from GUIS performed at the Xinghai Concert Hall, a prestigious venue in Guangzhou, for our inaugural Spring Concert, commemorating 21 years of ULink Education. The concert opened with the Wind Ensemble Brass, captivating the audience with a vibrant fanfare. Their performance of "Toccata from L’Orfeo" seamlessly blended mythology and music, setting an engaging tone for the afternoon. Next, a selection of musical theater pieces intertwined classical and jazz elements, featuring piano solos and choral performances. The choir’s multilingual songs beautifully merged language and melody, resonating deeply with the audience. The Wind Ensemble elevated the energy with the "How to Train Your Dragon" score, while the jazz band’s improvisations created an electric atmosphere that earned enthusiastic applause.
Mr. Hanson Yeung, Head of GUIS-NCPA, remarked, “These young people experience significant growth in skills and confidence through music lessons. They learn the value of teamwork and resilience—qualities that will serve them well beyond the stage.”
