Printmaking in Mixed Media 2D 

In the Printmaking unit of Mixed Media 2D, Mr. Frels led students to further learning in Printmaking. Students dive into linocut printmaking, choosing themes that resonate personally, from nature’s patterns to fantasy and imagination. Their artistic process starts with brainstorming and sketching, refining ideas about composition and design before carving their vision into a linoleum blocks. The act of printing marries intent with technique, as students roll ink over their blocks and press their creations onto paper. This hands-on journey is more than just technique—it's a learning experience where students see their thoughts inked into existence, each linocut a step forward in their artistic and academic growth.
