Mixed Media 3D Classroom Exhibition
On Feb 23rd, Mixed Media 3D class presented ‘Wired for Change’ Exhibition. Students produced a 3D wire sculpture to represent a global issue after discussions and explorations on various global issues and artists, such as climate change, deforestation, Banksy, and Yayoi Kusama, etc. Students developed their mind-mapping skills to collect information from research about the topics and planning for the project. They had opportunities to provide feedback to their classmates at intervals within the unit, they created an artist statement to accompany the 3D wire sculptures which acted as a framework for the students to explain their inspiration and concept to the audience at the exhibition. The project allowed students to respond to real-world issues by engaging in high-level thinking and imagination.
